For the third consecutive year, the RKW Group in Frankenthal, Germany has won a top-class award. At a ceremony in Cincinnati on October 7, 2010, Procter & Gamble presented a “Supplier of Excellence 2010” award to RKW. Of P&G’s approximately 80,000 suppliers, RKW was the only film manufacturer to receive this coveted award. A total of 76 suppliers received an “Excellence Award” of which six were named “Supplier of the Year”. Rick Hughes, chief purchasing officer at P&G said that he regards suppliers, agencies and external business partners as an extension of the company. Their ideas, technologies and creativity as well as their diversity and innovation help fulfill an important company objective of“touching and improving the lives of the world’s consumers.” Babycare and femcare are two of Procter & Gamble’s most successful growth sectors to which RKW contributes with its films and nonwovens. With its “Supplier of Excellence Award,” P&G recognizes the achievements of its best suppliers around the world. The performance of breathable, non-breathable and perforated films, nonwovens and elastic laminates which RKW develops for and delivers to its customer was evaluated, and led to RKW being the only film manufacturer to receive this award.
